'Of or like God or a god,' A definition of the word divine.
In Shum Sanctuary, divine or divinity is a class of experience and existence.
– As a class of experience it includes all states of enlightenment. These are mystical experiences that dot the Path of Enlightenment and cause spiritual evolution of a meditator. Mystic experiences are the goals of Rehnadee Shum meditations. All these experiences are divine in nature in that they exist within that part of us that is untainted by negative, cluttered or malicious intentions, feelings and actions arising from such negativity. This part of us is god-like, simple and a spring of energy in its simplest and purest form.
When a Rehnadee Shum meditator attains any of the states of enlightenment they can begin to understand the divine core of being that exist within them. These experiences are not extra-spiritual, meaning they do not originate from the outside of a meditator's being, instead, all Rehnadee Shum meditation experiences arise from within the meditator. Experiencing more and more of the states of enlightenment causes the dawning of understanding within the meditator of his or herself as a divine being.
– As a class of existence a divine being is whomever who has attained a level of spiritual strength whereby their thoughts and consequent actions are influenced directly by the pure energies that emanate from their god-like divine core. These are the Rehnadee Shum Masters and Guides, who can readily access the realms of the Innerverse beyond the 4th Dimension and provide inspiration and guidance that are pure and born of a benevolent nature. The benevolent nature is a quality that an advanced meditator wil possess as a result of being imbued over and over again by divine experiences of enlightenment.
The Divine as God or a god (deity)
In Rehnadee Shum, there is no name for God. This is because Rehnadee Shum is a language that organises and names spiritual experiences that are spiritually tangible and repeatable by way of following a set of steps which are laid out in meditation maps. As far as my own spiritual experiences and what I learned from the original Shum language from my guru, there are is no Shum word for God or a word that was used to name a god. Nor was there a particular meditation map that could be used to have an experience of God or a deity.
If ever, I, or another mystic, discover such steps that any mystic can follow which leads to an experience of a deity through meditation than I would gladly create a name for the deity in Rehnadee Shum and publish the meditation map. The ingredients where mytsic reality in Rehnadee Shum requires an experience and repeatablity are absolutes in the creation of a meditation map. Having noted this it is important to state that Shummef, the Shum Perspective, does not in anyway discount the existence of deities of any tradition and instead fosters the need for religion and its practices as crucial for balance in living life as it is.
There is a meditation map which details the Four Perspectives of the Mind. These Four Perspectives are as follows (the order of the list does not denote any heirarchy, all carry equal weight and importance):
- Shummef – The Shum Perspective
- Vu'ummf – The Perspective of Thoughts
- See'ef – The Perspective of Fact
- Tyaf – The Perspective of Hope
Religion and its culture encompasses Vu'ummf and Tyaf. Deities, God, gods of different forms, their worship and the culture surrounding them is in the domain of Tyaf – The Perspective of Hope which plays a crucial role in managing the challenges faced in life because of uncertainty and the pain of loss.
